Social Media Manager, Houston Texans          May 2020 - February 2021

As the Social Media Manager for the Houston Texans I led the social strategy and content production for @HoustonTexans accounts. I worked with designers, video editors and photographers to create content for daily social as well as campaigns. I led creative brainstorm meetings to ideate content and ensuring we capitalize on engagement opportunities. I wrote copy for all social posts and work with marketing, sponsorship and community relations to make sure that their content is not only represented on social but that it portrayed the message that they desire.  As the Manager of Social Media with the Denver Nuggets I was responsible for the planning and creation of social content. I would lead weekly meetings to discuss content and strategy as well as conceptualizing campaigns for things such as All-Star Voting, the Christmas Day game, playoffs and more. I was responsible for maintaining quality of content as well as consistency in tone. I worked very closely with our graphic design team to create engaging graphics for all of our social platforms that were unique to the platform. I also worked with video editors as well as edited video myself for various projects. An area I strived to make a point of was to make sure our content was not just basketball focused but that we also highlight cultural things such as fashion, shoes and more. I provided photography and videography coverage of team practices, games and community events. I traveled with the team to all games and tentpole events. I worked closely with other departments to ensure that their content was well represented on the team social platforms.

As the Social Media Coordinator for the Denver Nuggets I was responsible for the ideation and creation of digital content for the team's social profiles and website. I helped lead the way for campaigns such as rebranding, jersey reveals, schedule releases, All-Star voting and more. I wrote copy for social posts as well as captured content for home and away games. I worked closely with the graphic design team and video editors to create daily social content for our @Nuggets social channels. I worked with PR to effectively communicate their needs for press releases and organizational statements. I provided photography and videography coverage of practices, games and events. I traveled with the team to all games and tentpole events. I also wrote articles for the team website and worked in the Drupal platform to post on the team website.

Social Media Intern, Green Bay Packers     June 2016 – February 2017

My role with the Packers included covering team practices, community events and games. I assisted in managing the Packers team accounts with over 8 million followers between the various platforms. I also helped to manage the Packers Pro Shop, 1919 Kitchen & Tap, Packers Hall of Fame and Lambeau Field accounts. Our Packers social media accounts were consistently in the top ten in interactions among NFL teams. Our social media channels were also a major boost in promoting content on the team website resulting in more page views and page clicks. I utilize analytics and social trends to provide relevant and engaging content. I was responsible for drafting, scheduling and posting content. I also took photographs to be used on the team website and for social media.

Social Media Intern, Iowa State University Athletics    May 2015 – May 2016

Ames, IA

While working as a Social Media Intern for Iowa State Athletics I was responsible for creating daily content and posting across all of our social media platforms. I was also responsible for creating and carrying out campaigns on social media. During home football game days I was responsible for posting on Snapchat, Instagram, and Vine as well as capturing video of big plays and touchdowns to be used later in the week. During home men's and women's basketball games I was responsible for our Snapchat account, as well as live tweeting the game. During my time as a social media intern our accounts grew significantly. Our Twitter followers went from 54,900 followers to 69,000 followers. Our Snapchat grew from having 12,000 people who had added us to over 15,000. Our Instagram followers rose from 18,000 to 29,500 followers. I also designed a Snapchat Geofilter that is available throughout campus and is frequently used at our home basketball games. In addition to my duties as a social media intern I also assisted our marketing team during the first and second rounds of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament in Des Moines, Iowa.
